Summary
You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the NAVSUP, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Supply Management Department (SMD), Naval District Washington (NDW), NAVFAC office of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK, which provides Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Joint and Allied Forces with timely, effective and efficient global logistics capabilities that enable them to take the fight to the enemy.

Responsibilities
You will to order, expedite, track, receive, and issue material and inventory and provide purchasing support within the designated monetary limitations to buy and order material not available in the supply system.
You will serve as a Government Purchase Card holder responsible for using the credit card in accordance with agencies, guidelines, and utilizing mandatory sources of supply.
You will ensure purchases are within established monetary limitations set by the NAVFAC Contracting Officer for card holder.
You will make purchases in person, telephonically, or by various computer websites.
You will utilize the Single Platform MAXIMO automated system to track material status.
You will initiate, prepare, edit and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supplies while identifying priority and type of accountability required prior to purchasing.
You will coordinate with NAVFAC personnel to project material availability and delivery.
You will evaluate purchase requests for adequacy of description, restrictive features, and presence of administrative data necessary for procurement
You will document and justify the price as being fair and reasonable.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or an equivalent pay band, or equivalent experience in the private sector performing supply support work which requires a knowledge of purchasing regulations, procedures and business practices to purchase parts and materials in support of work requests for an organization. Examples of specialized experience include working within an established framework to: 1) Purchase supplies and/or materials in person, telephonically, or by various computer websites; 2) Ensure purchases are within established monetary limitations set by an organization; 3) Evaluate purchase requests for adequacy of description, restrictive features and presence of administrative data necessary for procurement; 4) Utilize an automated supply system to track material status and to keep others informed of order and projected delivery dates.
