-Conducts annual physical inventory of moveable property in the Regional Office.

-Responsible for obtaining and maintaining current inventory of real property and related personal property.

-Responsible to provide space management services to Regional Office and technical assistance to the Area Offices.

Incumbent must live within local commuting area of Billings, Montana.

You must meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors, by the closing date of this announcement.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees within the area of consideration are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade.



GS-05: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree -or- 3 years general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in federal service -or- equivalent combination of education and experience. General experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems, to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively, orally, and in writing; etc. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, answering telephones, routine procedural process, maintaining records, or other non-specialized tasks) is not creditable.

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Human Resources (HR) will review resumes and transcript(s) to ensure applicants meet the basic qualification requirements. HR will evaluate each applicant who meets the basic qualifications on the information provided in the assessment questionnaire. The assessment questionnaire will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Applicants determined best qualified will be referred to the selecting official.

1. Ability to interpret and apply Federal laws, regulations and policies as they relate to the management of: real property; personal property; personal property disposal; motor vehicles; heavy equipment; nonexpendable property; records management; library functions; and quarters management.

2. Ability to provide coordination of a program which may include persuasion of groups with diverse objectives. Provide Property Management expertise on FSSI, GSA Advantage, and FBMS.

3. Skill in written communication to provide technical information and written policy and guidance for widespread distribution.

4. Ability to use computers/software and property management software routines.

a) A copy of your SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action, that reflects having initially been hired under competitive examining procedures to a time limited (temporary/term) appointment;

b) A copy of SF-50(s), Notification of Personnel Action(s), that reflect having served under one (1) or more time-limited (temporary/term) appointments by a land management agency for a period totaling more than 24 months without a break in service of two (2) or more years; and

c) A copy of your Performance Appraisal Plan and/or Supervisor Memorandum that reflects having performed at an acceptable level during each period of service.
