Summary

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DLA provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. It also provides logistics support to other DoD Components and certain Federal agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, and others as authorized.

Position(s)

will be filled at one of the following locations: Battle Creek, MI; Whitehall,

OH; Dayton, OH; Fort Belvoir, VA; New Cumberland, PA; Ogden, UT; Philadelphia,

PA; Richmond, VA.The position location of Fort Belvoir may include the

Mark Center, Gatehouse, or Suffolk buildings.

Responsibilities

As a Supply Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Responsible for the management and administration of DOD process review Committees. Negotiates complex

business rules with service leads and serves as a functional subject matter expert within Logistics areas for

conversion of DLSS-based technology standards to the latest technology standards offered by DLMS.

Serves as functional subject matter expert with the Supply Management area and reviews, coordinates, and

develops MILSTRIP, MILSTRAP, MILSBILLS and related policies and procedures.

Acts as liaison and advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense Deputy Chief Management Officer Staff,

Logistics Information Services, Transaction services, Component HQ staff as well as OSD and Joint Staff.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with DOD officials, working with functional process owners

within agencies and industry.

Develops long range strategies, implements advanced infrastructure projects and business transformation and

modernization efforts.

ABOUT THE POSITION: This is an Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (AT&L) Workforce Position in the Life Cycle Logistics Career Field. The incumbent will be required to become certified at Level III for positions advertised at GS-14 in the applicable career field within 24 months, unless a Position Requirements Waiver is approved to extend the 24 months. AT&L position requirements will be used in the evaluation criteria.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

GS-14: Developing processes and supply business rules for the development of enterprise priorities.

Advancing the technological design of business transformation efforts. Analyzing and providing advice and

guidance on logistics management systems and standards.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills and abilities) in the

following areas:

Knowledge of Defense Logistics Standard System and Defense Logistics Management System processing

Ability to advance the technological design of business transformation enterprise priorities

Ability to serve as advisor and consultant
