We have an opening in our Facilities Management Department on second shift. Work schedule is M-Th from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. but must be available to work Fridays during on-call rotation every six weeks. Free heated indoor secured parking is available. Responsibilities include: Assists in or maintains, repairs, installs, calibrates and commissions HVAC equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, water leak detection, fire sprinkler suppression system, smoke control system, cash services automated material handling system. Assists in or is responsible for analyzing, performing diagnostic trouble shooting, programming, repairing, and commissioning the BAS sequences of operations. Assists in or adjusts the building environmental conditions through the Building Automation System (\BAS\) to satisfy building standards, customer requirements, and energy management strategic objectives. Utilizes a variety of tools and software to perform mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic repair on building equipment. Purchases repair and maintenance supplies using company credit cards and prepares associated paperwork. Reads, interprets, and revises\u00a0building plans and specifications as required to implement repairs and facility changes. Assumes other responsibilities as needed or assigned. Qualifications: Vocational or trade school degree with an emphasis in heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, mechanical or related field, or equivalent experience. Entry level of maintenance engineer work with some experience preferred, including a fundamental operating expertise in personal computers and application software. (Three years of maintenance experience required for level II.) Effective interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Ability to lift\/carry up to 80 pounds. Preferred: Maintenance, operation, programming, and knowledge of local area networks and direct digital control hardware and software. Refrigeration license and knowledge of high-pressure steam and fittings.
