Inspector VThe Quality Enhancement Inspector V performs duties that involve quality control analysis. Work will encompass examining and reviewing agency programs, analyzing service delivery methods and providing assistance to staff to improve program performance. The position will assist in the development of protocols as well as offer suggestions / proposals to accomplish quality control objectives. Work will include conducting case reviews and performing quality control reviews. The QE Inspector V will assist in collecting information and identifying trends in order to make recommendations for appropriate changes to service delivery. The position works under general supervision with moderate latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment. The position works under the direction of the Director Quality Enhancement Essential Job Functions:
Essential functions include 1. Assisting in the development of protocols and providing consultation to staff. 2. Proposing methods and/or techniques to accomplish quality control objectives 3. Conducting case and quality control reviews, 4. Identifying trends or concerns related to program operation. 5. Making recommendations for appropriate changes to service delivery. 6. Contributing to the development of quality control policies 7. Providing information concerning quality control findings 8. Assisting in development of plans of improvement 9. Maintaining communication with information sources to validate information received from case reviews and facility observations. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to perform complex audits related to programs and inspections in a residential services setting. Extensive knowledge and ability to present program information in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing. Extensive knowledge of state and federal standards, laws and regulations pertinent to the facility. Extensive knowledge of the individual habilitation plan including active treatment, interdisciplinary team process, health and safety issues. Extensive knowledge of incident management processes. Ability to analyze information, identify problems in programming areas and recommend corrective actions. Ability to identify successful implementation and completion of actions recommended in incident investigations. Ability to write or participate in writing policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to provide effective oversight of staff activities. Ability to communicate effectively to provide program consultation and conduct training sessions. Ability to use job related computer programs effectively. Ability to train staff. Ability to facilitate meetings. Registration or Licensure Requirements:
N/A Initial Selection Criteria:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in the field related to the duties of the position, plus two (2) years of full-time work experience with increasing responsibility in the administration of a related program. Additional work related experience may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis, with a maximum substitution of four (4) years. Additional Information:
