It is a full time position with state benefits including retirement, health insurance, vacation leave, sick leave, and paid holidays.This position is located at Nash Correctional Institution in Nash County, Nashville NC, which houses 654 male medium custody inmates and employees 287 staff. This position will report to and assist the Personnel Assistant V in accomplishing all task involved with Human Resources. This position will be responsible for ensuring policies & procedures are administered as they relate to Personnel. Will be responsible for processing employment packages to include but not limited to; hiring, separations, promotions, leave of absence (LOA), background checks, reinstatements, transfers, reassignments, retirements, and time administration. Will be responsible for administering Family Medical Leave, Voluntary Shared Leave, Short-term Disability, Workers Compensation, Health/Dental, and other employee benefits. This position will monitor employees time as well as other personnel transactions using the Integrated HR-Payroll System (formerly BEACON). Will conduct new hire orientation. Will be responsible for maintaining employee work history and medical files. Will serve as a Site Security Coordinator for the facility. Other tasks to be assigned as deemed necessary.
