Oversees various Bank and/or system projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing and hardware/software. Provides strategic direction, leadership, and resources to ensure successful planning, implementation, solution preparation, delivery, and measurement of initiatives that are the highly complex and strategic in nature. Responsible for formulating project scopes and objectives relative to business plans and industry requirements. Leads development of project plans and execution of project deliverables. Responsible for devising and/or modifying and ensuring implementation of associated operating procedures. Ensures leadership is informed of project progress, findings, and deployment plans. Directs a team of project managers. Position is typically used in the following business areas: Facilities, Retail Payments Office (RPO), and function offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees establishment of appropriate implementation strategy to include planning, designing communications, training development, implementation budgeting, delivery methods, and/or timing/bundling for complex initiatives.

Responsible for the success of significant projects on a Bank or System-wide scale from initiation to completion, managing multiple projects with accountability for managing, monitoring performance recommending schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables.

Ensures business strategies are translated into specific, executable projects. Formulates project scopes and objectives, assigning projects to project managers or coordinators as appropriate and monitors their progress. Responsible for development of business requirements and overall project plans. Communicates project progress, findings, output and deployment plans to leadership and all constituents.

Leads (directly and indirectly) project team in execution of project deliverables. Confers with and advises team participants on policies and procedures, priorities and methods. Consults with personnel in other business areas to coordinate activities. Manages and directs contractors, consultants and vendors and manages ongoing relationships.

Establishes strategic implementation plans with project managers that coordinate change activities, creatively solve problems, and monitor sustained change to internal team members.

Coaches, develops, and provides formal and informal feedback on performance to department staff. Implements personnel actions, establishes objectives, monitors staff performance and ensures staff has adequate career/professional development and training. Monitors staff work loads and compliance with standards.


Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent experience preferred


Eight or more years preferred

Microsoft Office Applications (Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
