This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Social Worker:

Degree

: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

License:

A current, active, valid, and unrestricted independent social work clinical licensure from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health fitness for duty evaluations; providing leadership to a group of individuals serving as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team; providing multiple types of evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), behavior modification and Motivational Interviewing (MI), and supportive therapy or group therapy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
