The successful candidate will use advanced statistical techniques for highly specialized system-wide analyses and evaluations critical to informing decisions that affect statewide policy and implementation. This position leads or participates in the development and implementation of engineering studies elated to safety performance, asset management and other division related analysis priorities.

This position will perform the following work:
Lead and contribute to the analysis of data to advance data driven applications in the area of performance in project development, asset management and economic analysis.
Implement quality control processes for the development of analysis of data.
Develop and review documentation of data fusion methods, processes, and quality control processes.
Conduct literature reviews and develop synthesis of findings along with a critical assessment of data preparation and analysis assumptions and techniques.
Engage with data stewards in the Development division, and other divisions to advance data fusion, and analytical capability for the agency.
An ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, transportation, computer science, engineering or closely related field.
Three (3) years of experience involving data collection, analysis and the development of reports and presentations.
Advanced knowledge of data analytics.
Knowledge and ability to work with various data types (quantitative, and qualitative)
Knowledge of federal, state, and agency policies and programs related to data, evaluation and research.
Expert level at programming SQL with star schema and relational databases.
Expert level at R, SAS, Python, or similar languages.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, slicers, conditional formatting, advanced charting, simulation, solver, Power Pivot, etc.
