Serve as the focal point for squadron/wing logistics readiness support for contingencies, peacetime and deployment requirements.

Provide technical advice and assistance to wing leadership on business processes and performance and efficiency of logistics readiness

functions of the squadron/wing.

Perform/lead studies and provide technical advice and assistance on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities.

Plan, organize and maintain oversight of the activities of the Logistics Readiness Squadron.

Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - Incumbent may be required to fly in a military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments.

Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments

Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities

This position requires a Top Secret security clearance. Incumbent must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background investigation.

Incumbent must possess demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities essential to successful accomplishment of the responsibilities in a

senior command position.

Qualifications

You must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service that has given you particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position.Typically this experience

would involve program responsibility associated with business processes, resource management, (e.g. facility requirements, equipment, budget,

stock control); analyzing, developing, evaluating and advising on long and short term policies, plans, methods, procedures and systems for

logistics readiness; and/or serving as the technical advisor on logistics readiness and development and implementation of readiness mission

capabilities. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

(1) Knowledge of a wide range of logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures and regulations applicable to a full range of logistics

management to include: cargo movement, supply requirements, structure and processes, equipment and vehicles management, storage,

deployment planning and operations, global rules and cryogenics, and logistic plans under peacetime and wartime conditions. (2) Ability to

plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium organization. (3) Ability to identify, analyze and translate complex

information, make appropriate judgments and evaluate options concerning base readiness. (4) Ability to communicate effectively, both orally

and in writing.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
