Summary The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for overall management of pharmacy services at the Leavenworth Division for the Eastern Kansas Healthcare System, which includes a main facility, multiple community based outpatient clinic, and coordination of services provided by the Leavenworth Consolidated Mail-Out Outpatient Prescription program. Responsible for the overall management of pharmacy services and activities to meet the needs of our patient population. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring the full range of pharmacy operations involving procurement, preparation, storage, dispensing, and monitoring of medications is conducted in an efficient and effective manner. Incumbent oversees the work of the pharmacy staff at the Leavenworth Division, and ensure the coordination and integration of work assignments with the other service lines and the Topeka Division. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Incumbent will be required to provide coverage during irregular tours including weekends, evenings, nights and holidays based on work assignments and the need of the organization. Duties The Pharmacy Operations Manager position contains but is not limited to the following duties: Establish, monitor and take action on performance improvement measures that are congruent with the health care system's strategic objectives. Ensure the practice of pharmacy is compliant with regulatory and professional standards of practice. Perform a full range of human resource management duties ensuring all local bargaining unit contractual agreements are fairly and uniformly upheld. Ensure pharmacy resources are managed in the most efficient and effective means possible in support of the organizations strategic objectives. Ensure medication management systems are operated in the most efficient means possible. Track and trend resource utilization and submit relevant reports to the Chief of Pharmacy Service when requested. Coordinating the orientation and training of all new pharmacy staff.
