This exciting position will assist the Registration/Reservation Team in administering its programs and organizational activities to provide for transactional processing, convey information, determine compliance, provide reporting, and resolve data and customer service issues. The incumbent acts as a resident expert in the implementation and maintenance of technical program guidelines. This position requires problem solving and ability to function with considerable independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures.
Perform complex and difficult program support functions for multiple or highly specialized
programs including providing training and monitoring multiple data sources
Engage in collections of receivables using telephone and correspondence
Have the authority, knowledge, and judgment to devise solutions that fall outside existing policies and
Problem solving and negotiation skills with authority to act on decisions
Serve as a program expert and provide guidance and assistance regarding complex program rules and regulations to office staff and external
Frequent contact with internal and external customers, which requires good public relation
Function with considerable independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and
Extensive knowledge of department programs and
Extensive knowledge of office functions and
These qualifications are mandatory requirements.
This position requires one year of work experience in each of the following:
Monitoring record systems to identify and correct
Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized
Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or
Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in stressful
Composing and proofreading business correspondence.
Applicants must also have six months of work experience:
Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record
This qualification is a mandatory requirement
One-year supervision experience
Experience working with federal or state program requirements
Experience using word processing software (such as Microsoft Word) and equipment at the rate of 40 wpm or more and produce merged documents, specialized tables, reports (columns), correspondence, forms (creating and using templates), and
- Minimum Qualifications (Pass/Fail).
- Multiple-Choice Written Exam (100%). If you meet the minimum qualifications as shown in Part 1, you will receive a Pass score and can then take Part 2 (the online written examination). You must receive a Pass on Part 1 and a minimum score of 60 on Part 2 in order to be put on the register for this position. Both Part 1 and Part 2 must be completed by the closing date of this announcement. Notification of your test results will be available online once you have completed each part of the exam.
