Responsibilities

This position is located with the Omaha Field Division; Omaha, Nebraska.

The incumbent will perform the following duties: Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.

Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations; responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO).

Reviews and analyze budget, acquisition, utilization, disposition, Human Resources, and accountability of resources consistent with program needs at all locations within the Division.

Analyzes administrative processes and develop new or improved administrative policies and procedures for effective administrative operation within the Division.

Manages the Special Agent Recruitment Program and initiatives for the Field Division, as well as the professional, administrative, and clerical (PATCO) Position Recruitment Plan for the Division.

Manages the Division's vehicle fleet including requests for new vehicles, registration, maintenance, and repair of vehicles, inventory management, and disposition.

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Successful completion of a one year supervisory probationary period for the supervisory position is required (unless already completed).

Successful completion of a one-year initial probationary period is required (unless already completed).

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

GS-13: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 Federal grade level performing duties such as serving as a principal advisor on key administrative matters, including records management, security programs, office safety matters, fiscal matters, worker's compensation claims, human resources, and credit card accountability, and providing technical advice and guidance to a subordinate staff.

GS-14: Must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 Federal grade level performing duties such as managing and coordinating of a subordinate staff, establishing guidelines and performance expectations, independently planning, designing and carrying out programs, projects, and studies; providing subject matter expertise on financial and administrative program advice to managers; reviewing and analyzing acquisition, utilization, disposition, and accountability of resources; anticipating program initiatives, priorities and manpower trends; and advising, senior level management on Human Resources related matters.
