Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Island of Oahu. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

This position is located at the Leilehua Golf Course in Wahiawa, HI. Hours of operation is Monday through Sunday 6:30 am to 9:00 pm. Scheduled hours will vary, MUST be available to work nights, weekends, holiday's & special events.

Responsibilities

In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.

Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.

Follows all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules.

Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages.

Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

A one year probationary period may be required

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.

Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.

Certificate of Medical Examination is required.

Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.j.(1).

Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to: Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.

Ability to work without more than normal supervision.

Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order.

Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.

Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.

Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.

Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.

Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.
