Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Workforce Management Specialist, you will have the following responsibilities; Consults and advises senior leadership and line managers on a range of workforce planning issues including those involving performance management, labor and employee relations, and effective distribution of work that is aligned with the strategic mission of the organization.

Performs long-range planning and analysis of new substantive agency programs where precedents are scarce or nonexistent

Conducts gap analysis to determine the most appropriate solutions to CDRH resource issues.

Maintains liaison with OHR staff to enhance recruitment, selection, and retention of the most capable talent to fill CDRH needs.

Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.

Oversees the development and implementation of a variety of policies and procedures related to workforce planning, performance management, and employee ethics within the organization.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for Supervisory Workforce Management Specialist, 0301, at GS - 14, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 01/22/2018.

Have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the federal service to include developing policy and leading programs as it relates to workforce planning, labor and employee relations, and performance management.

In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
