Job Description The Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean provides leadership in the undergraduate academic affairs office of the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. Responsibilities include scholarship management, curriculum processes and procedures, academic policy implementation, student support activities, and office procedures. Minimum Qualifications - Administrative experience in an academic or professional office environment. - Supervisory skills to train, monitor, and evaluate the work of hourly workers and undergraduate student workers. - High level of proficiency in the use of software such as Microsoft Word and EXCEL. - Ability to work independently to create new processes and procedures to improve performance. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Demonstrated ability to learn new software and web-based administrative systems. - Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. - Strong commitment to team, and ability to interact respectfully and comfortably with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment. Preferred Qualifications - Understanding of academic and business policies of the college and university. - Previous experience with university governance processes related to curriculum development and approval. - Experience with scholarship award management within the university.
