Summary

As a Assisted Aquisition Project Manager, you will be managing projects on behalf of federal agencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region in the area of IT and Professional Services. This office is responsible for assisting Federal agencies with accomplishing their missions through assisted acquisition services.

Responsibilities

The major duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Serves as a Senior Project Manager for the Assisted Acquisition Services Division performing technical work and analysis in the acquisition of products and services for Federal Clients on a regional, national, or worldwide basis.

Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Responsible for funds status reporting in support of management and customer requests.

Meets with high level officials of federal agencies to explain AAS’ value-added services in an effort to capture new or retain existing business opportunities.

Serves as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) on a variety of IT/professional services.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $94,225.00 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 greade level.

Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience performing full life cycle project management for IT or Professional Services products and services to include:

Providing technical and acquisition advice;

Analyzing and developing technical customer requirements

Formulating and executing budget and project schedules

Performing contract administration and procurement tasks including monitoring contractor performance

Identifying and resolving acquisition problems/issues

Coordinating with multiple project stakeholders.

Mastery knowledge of the capabilities, uses, and integration requirements of state-of-the-art information technology and professional services products and services required to conduct general business operations.

Ability to communicate orally to address both technical and non-technical personnel regarding IT and professional services issues.

Skill in project management. Skill in managing multiple, complex IT and/or professional services' projects concurrently for a wide variety of user agencies.

Knowledge in the proper use of a multitude number of customer funding vehicles and their application to the requirement.

Knowledge of government acquisition, procurement and project management principles utilized by customer agencies to conduct general business operations.

Additional assessments, such as the Administrative Careers with America (ACWA)

, may be used. If further assessments are used, you will be provided with instructions.
