This position will serve as a Sandblaster and performs all sandblasting work which involves the repair and alteration of various assets and products.
Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:
1. Setting up, preparing, operating, regulating, and maintaining complete stationary and portable sandblasting equipment safely, so that the operation of equipment does not endanger the operator or other employees.
2. Preparing areas for sandblasting and setting up operating controls on sandblasting equipment.
3. Preparing various surfaces including aluminum, fiberglass, steel and occasionally masonry, wood, and iron for painting and other surface coatings by removing grease, paint, rust, slag, scale, carbon deposits, etc. to prescribed surface preparation standards including rough and smooth finishes.
4. Using and applying standard coating methods to perform painting/plaster work.
5. Assisting in mixing base materials, thinners, and pigments to obtain appropriate consistency, color, and drying properties.

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Certifications must be on letterhead from the appropriate military branch and include: military dates of service and expected discharge or release date, character of service, military rank, type of discharge and date when terminal leave will begin. Certifications must be signed by, or by direction of military members’ military personnel offices, unit commanders or higher headquarters.

At a minimum to confirm eligibility for purposes of appointment based on relocation under these provisions a spouse of a service member must provide a copy of the marriage certificate or other documentation verifying marriage and a copy of the military PCS orders assigning the service member to a certain post. 8. OPM must authorize employment offers for former or current Political Appointees.
