Responsibilities

You will perform and develops system administration management program plans, policies, and standards.

You will install and maintain application software, controls current versions and future releases of applications software, and documents the physical configuration of an information system.

You will manage and coordinate Windows based systems, workstations, and network-attached storage (NAS)/storage area networks (SAN) storage systems which may be used at a variety of geographically dispersed locations.

You will resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Incumbent must sign and adhere to the negotiated Information System Privileged Access Agreement and Acknowledgement of Responsibilities Statement.

Incumbent must attain and maintain one of the recognized Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III professional certifications within six (6) months of the assignment to this position.

Qualifications

GS-12:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- Experience utilizing Windows operating system configuration (including integration architecture) to provide diagnoses and maintenance for Windows operating systems on multi-level platforms.

- Experience utilizing windows system management functions to maintain administrative requirements of windows operating requirements in a distributed environment.

- Experience applying protection requirements for processing and handling Classified and/or controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), including For Official Use Only (FOUO), Privacy Act, Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Business Sensitive, and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI).

- Experience performing system design and life cycle management procedures (to include: feasibility studies, long range plan development, system decision papers, DoD budgeting, contracting, and procurement procedures, and DoD/DoN IA and IT processing standards, procedures, policies).

- Experience applying installation information procedures and standards as they relate to planning, design, coordination, operations, programming, and documentation.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

GS-11:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
