Duties Duties include but are not limited to the following: The NA provides quality nursing care to a variety of patients whose age may range from 18 to 100 years. S(H)e will provide complete personal hygiene care needs. They will turn and position patients to maintain proper body alignment, lifts, ambulates, and transfers patients. Promotes physical independence of the patient by encouraging and teaching individual patients and groups of patients in self-care activities, such as progressive steps in personal hygiene, bathing, and oral are; also assists in teaching and encouraging other care activities such as eating, dressing, undressing, and bladder and other training as needed. S(H)e will prepare patients for meals, feeds, and assists those requiring assistance. Takes, records vital signs, weights, neurological checks, circulatory checks, and perform other duties as assigned and\/or included. The incumbent will perform charting on each patient's computerized medical record on a regular basis according to established nursing documentation standards and unit policies. The NA will lead by example in defining a customer service culture to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and civility. Ensures that whenever possible they work to cultivate partnerships with our customers in developing solutions to meet their needs. Perform a variety of personal care or nursing care activities which do not require practical or vocational nursing licensure. Assist doctors and nurses in the performance of diagnostic examinations by performing duties such as: monitoring vital signs, preparing and positioning the patient, or by performing a variety of routine diagnostic tests. Assist physicians and nurses in the care and treatment of the ill receiving medical, surgical, psychiatric or outpatient treatment. Prepares patients for meals, feeds, and assists those requiring assistance. Follow the Plan of Care for assigned patients. Other duties as assigned.
