Sets tables, arranges place settings and table decorations. Receives guests, makes suggestions and answers questions about food, wines and other items available. Takes orders. Places order with and receives food and beverages from kitchen and bar when required. Maintains sales record. Collects cash or payment by credit card. Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas. May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

Must be 21 years old at the time of appoinment

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

National Agency Check with Inquires is required

Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours annual refresher training is required


Candidates must:

1. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must be 21 years of age or older for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.

2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.

3. Be able to communicate effectively in English.

4. Must have knowledge of sanitary food handling and serving techniques.

5. Must have the ability to compute checks and make change.

6. Must have the ability to recognize the signs of intoxication.

7. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.

8. Must be able to continually lift and carry items weighing less than 10 pounds.
