The Maryland Department Of Transportation

State Highway Administration's District 4 Office (Baltimore County)

is recruiting for a IT Liaison (Computer Information Services Specialist II)

position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications*

listed below. This is a contractual position specific

recruitment. All eligible candidates must meet the minimum and selective qualifications

by the closing date. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy, and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification in the District 4 Office (Baltimore County).

This is a contractual position, which offers some state paid benefits.

This position serves as an IT Liaison for the State Highway Administration's District 4 - Baltimore and Harford Counties, which encompasses five facilities, providing direct desktop support and customer service for all computer users. This position will work with the District IT Manager to deploy new software, new hardware, provide network support, assist with training conference logistics, update District 4's Intranet page, handle onboarding employee updates, ensure the continuous functionality of network printers and copiers; as well as, assist with MAXIMO updates / reporting, the equipment condemnation process, the annual fixed asset inventory (witness), and any implementation of new TSO or SHA priorities and / or initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

One year experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining microcomputer hardware and software.

Notes:

1. Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, database or other applications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
