Facilities Engineer, Memphis
The St Louis Fed is one of 12 Reserve Banks serving all orparts of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi andArkansas with branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis. The St. LouisFed's most critical functions include: promoting stable prices and economicgrowth, fostering a sound financial system, providing payment services tofinancial institutions, supporting the U.S. Treasury's financial operations,and advancing economic education, community development and fair access tocredit.
The FacilitiesManagement Department plans, coordinates and executes buildingmodifications necessary to maintain the facility's infrastructure and to meetthe Bank's business needs; develops the District's long-range facilities planand manages projects for the branches; and performs all necessary functions inregard to maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of the building. The Facility Engineer installs, operates,and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, mechanical, electrical,and electronic equipment.
Read and interpret technical manuals orblueprints.
Diagnose equipment or system problems.
Install, inspect, and maintain air, gas, water,sewer, boiler steam and condensate systems.
Operate and maintain electrical, gas fired andmechanical equipment required for the heating, ventilation and airconditioning.
Interpret and implement specifications,blueprints, technical manuals, and data to ensure proper operation of systems.
Program, operate and maintain the computerequipment and applications to monitor Bank facilities for proper electric,humidity, temperature, ventilation, security and fire protection.
Understands one-line diagrams and the electricaldistribution system
Plan equipment installation and alterations.
Inspect and maintain equipment, piping andductwork.
Inspect, maintain, and repair refrigerationequipment.
Escalate issues as required.
Complete assigned work orders within a timelymanner.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipmentsystems and power tools. Keeps preventive maintenance records through the CMMS.
Respond to calls from customers and makenecessary adjustments to resolve issue.
Provide exceptional customer service within-house customers and contractors.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Overtimeas needed.
High School diploma or equivalent
5 years' experience with building systems
Stationary Engineers license preferred.
Universal Certification a plus.
Experience with chiller plant and cooling towersystems.
Experience with generators, UPS systems, complexelectrical
Experience with building automation systems.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to work individually aswell as within a team.
Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds and useladders as needed
Excellent customer service skills.
