A survey made by the NY Times shows that the following areas will be opened for federal government jobs in the coming years. First on the list are the security, enforcement and compliance assistance which includes investigators, police officers, inspectors, compliance officers, airport screeners, security guards and prison guards. Second on the list are the medical and public health which includes the nurses, physicians, medical technicians, pharmacists, and nursing assistants. Third on the list that would open a lot of federal government jobs for the people are engineering and sciences which include botanists, microbiologists, foresters, chemists, astronomers, physicist, chemists and other sciences. The Program in Administrative and Management is 4th on the list which includes program managers and administrative support. The 5th on the list is accounting, business and the budget which includes the different fields related to this. The Internal Revenue Service will hire revenue agents and people that will examine taxes.

One of the most interesting federal government jobs are Federal Bureau of Investigating officers. Some people would think that being in this federal job is all about shooting or investigation but there is more to it then that. There are five entry programs which an applicant can be a special agent in. You can start from these careers to get into the Federal Bureau of Investigation. You can be in accounting, computer science or information technology. If you also have a bachelor’s degree and knowledge in different languages, you can enter the FBI. Becoming a lawyer is also another way of having the chance to join the FBI.
